This week was a momentous one for our family.

After 4 months of adventure looking at over a hundred different houses and fighting competing hundreds of buyers on offers, by the grace of God we finally got an offer accepted on a place in Woodland Hills – and honestly it’s the best property of ALL of the ones we’ve seen! It’s our first official home together as a family, so we are all super pumped. I’m so glad we got this because we were actually contemplating moving to Orange County to prep for our 2nd son to arrive in November (REALLY glad we didn’t have to do that!). It’s the perfect combination of space, location, distance to work, layout, and neighborhood. The dream is still Santa Monica, but we’ll get there eventually.

It is pretty amazing how fast a year goes by. It will be a year by the time we leave Eagle Rock that we’ve been cooped up in a tiny space. The place served us well as a COVID-19 bugout shelter, but seeing as things are starting to come back to normal, I think we’re ready for a new place.

We move in October, possibly earlier – but can’t wait to make this house our home!
