I recently thought a bit about the word “entrepreneur.”

It has some interesting connotations these days, mostly not the greatest. When I asked my girlfriend about what she thought of the word, she said it implies a deadbeat or unemployed person. It makes sense – these days that word can potentially be a cop out word that catches the definition for all people who want to do their own thing.

I decided to therefore remove any reference to myself of the word entrepreneur online. I realized that these days, calling myself that word can either come off as a posing loser, or at best, arrogant. I further realized that true entrepreneurs don’t actually ever call themselves entrepreneurs. They call themselves what they actually are- be it a business owner, investor, or anything else, and it is implied that they are an entrepreneur. 

I actually like the tone of not calling myself an entrepreneur, lol.
